Recipe Grab Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully before using Recipe Grab. By installing, accessing, or using the app or its related services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Recipe Grab.

1. Acceptance and parties

These Terms form an agreement between you and Global Reach Retailers LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its registered office at 30 N Gould St #40636, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States (the "Company", "we", "us").

Recipe Grab is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple's Media Services Terms and Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA") apply in addition to these Terms. The standard Apple EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that age is higher, to use Recipe Grab.

The app provisions an account for your installation on first launch, without asking you to sign in, and that account carries a public handle and profile. Signing in with Apple attaches it to your Apple ID. Publishing, cookbook sharing, referrals, and shared lists all run on that account; our Privacy Policy explains what it holds and how to hide or delete it.

2. The licence we grant you

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Recipe Grab on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple EULA and these Terms. The licence covers your own use of the app, including publishing your recipes and taking part in any creator or referral programme we offer. It does not cover reselling the app or operating a service on top of it, as set out below.

You may:

import, organise, edit, scale, plan, and cook recipes, and share an individual recipe out of the app;
keep a private library on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud;
create an optional account and public profile; and
share or publish recipes and cookbooks when you have the rights and lawful basis to do so.

You may not:

copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or try to derive the app's source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the app or a meaningful part of it;
operate a scraping, mirroring, bulk-extraction, or content-resale service through the app or backend;
bypass device attestation, authentication, rate limits, attribution safeguards, publication controls, or other security measures;
probe, attack, overload, or interfere with our systems or another person's use of them;
impersonate a person or creator, reserve a misleading handle, manipulate referrals or rewards, or publish deceptive source attribution; or
create, store, or distribute unlawful, infringing, abusive, or privacy-invasive content.

3. Accounts, profiles, and security

Your installation has an account from first launch, and signing in with Apple attaches it to your Apple ID. Fill in the profile fields you choose to complete accurately, and keep access to your sign-in provider secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated sessions until you sign out, revoke them, or notify us of suspected compromise.

Handles are unique service identifiers, not ownership of a trademark or a promise of permanent availability. We may reject, rename, reserve, hide, or release a handle that impersonates someone, infringes rights, misleads users, is abusive, or is needed for service operation. Public profile fields, including your handle, display name, biography, avatar, and public recipe activity, can be seen and copied by anyone while your profile is public.

Do not share authentication tokens, one-time provider-link codes, or other account credentials. Any sign-in provider we support is governed by that provider's terms as well as these Terms. Email is not an account-merging signal: independently created provider identities remain separate unless you use an authorised account-linking flow.

4. Purchases

Recipe Grab may offer paid features through auto-renewing in-app subscriptions. Products, prices, billing periods, trial terms, and included features are shown on the paywall before purchase.

Apple processes all purchases under its payment terms. We do not receive your card details. Subscriptions renew through your Apple ID until you cancel in iOS Settings. Refunds, family sharing, and billing management are governed by Apple's policies. Refund requests must use Apple's process at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. AI-generated content and food safety

Recipe Grab uses on-device and server-side artificial intelligence to transcribe sources, extract and paraphrase recipes, identify ingredients, estimate time and nutrition, and suggest edits.

AI can mishear or omit an ingredient, attach the wrong quantity or unit, invent a step, fail to identify an allergen, or produce an inaccurate time, serving, calorie, or macro estimate. You are responsible for checking every recipe before cooking or eating, especially for allergies, intolerances, pregnancy, immune conditions, medical diets, or food-safety risks. Cross-check against the original source where available.

Nutrition values are rough estimates and must not be used for medical decisions, insulin dosing, or clinical treatment. Recipe Grab is not a medical, nutrition, or emergency service and is not a substitute for qualified professional advice.

6. Third-party sources and your responsibilities

Recipe Grab helps you save and reformat material found on social platforms, recipe sites, cookbooks, cards, and other sources. Third-party material remains subject to its owner's rights and the source platform's terms. We do not claim ownership of it.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, permission, licence, exception, or other lawful basis needed for your use. Private personal use and public internet publication are not the same legal act. A source being publicly accessible does not necessarily grant a right to republish it.

When Recipe Grab creates a public functional recipe projection, it is designed to paraphrase instructions, focus on functional recipe information, and attribute/link the original source where available. Those measures do not guarantee non-infringement, do not replace permission where permission is required, and do not transfer responsibility for your publishing choice to the source creator or to us.

You must not remove or falsify attribution, claim another creator's work as your own, or use a public profile or cookbook to imply sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist.

7. Your private content and public-content licence

7.1 Private library

As between you and us, you retain your rights in content you create. Your private recipe library remains on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud. We do not claim a licence to operate a server-hosted mirror of that private library.

You grant us only the limited rights needed to process content transiently when you request an import, transcription, extraction, AI refinement, feedback investigation, or similar feature, for example to transmit it to a processor and return the result.

7.2 Public account recipe publications

If you explicitly publish an account recipe, you instruct us to create and host a public functional projection of that recipe and associate it with your public profile. Its title and method may be paraphrased or projected, while ingredient facts may be retained and normalized. The projection can also include serving, cuisine, time, nutrition, and source metadata, plus attribution/linking to the original source.

For as long as the publication remains public, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, adapt into that functional projection, cache, transmit, display, distribute, and create technical previews of the submitted publication content solely to:

operate Recipe Grab's public recipe, profile, search, collection, and sharing features;
display the publication on Recipe Grab pages and in social/search previews;
let another user view and save the public projection into their private library;
preserve source attribution and moderate or investigate the publication; and
maintain service security, auditability, backups, and legal compliance.

This licence does not transfer ownership to us and does not authorise us to sell your publication as a standalone content product. It ends when the publication is unpublished, except for limited cached copies, backups, command/tombstone records, legal evidence, and uses needed to resolve a dispute or enforce these Terms. Search engines and recipients may retain independent copies outside our control.

You represent that you are authorised to give us this licence for the content you choose to publish and that the publication, including its source attribution and profile association, does not violate law or another person's rights.

7.3 Public cookbooks

A public cookbook is collection metadata (its title, an emoji cover, author, stable code, and order) plus references to account recipe publications that are already public. It does not create a second server-side recipe body for each item.

When you share a cookbook containing recipes that have not been published yet, the app presents a disclosure and asks for your consent to publish those recipes first. The public-publication licence in Section 7.2 then applies to each newly published recipe, and the same limited licence applies to the cookbook's title, cover, ordering, and other metadata.

Public profile, dish, ingredient, and cookbook pages are intended to be discoverable and may be indexed by search engines. Individual recipe pages currently carry a noindex directive, which asks search engines not to list them separately; that is a product decision we may change, and it does not make a publication private. Anyone can view, link to, or save any of these pages without receiving the link directly.

7.4 Legacy unlisted recipe shares

A legacy recipegrab.app/r/<code> share is public to anyone holding its random link and is omitted from our sitemap. It predates accounts, is not attached to your profile, and follows its own lifecycle.

8. Publication controls and lifecycle

In the app you can:

turn auto-publish off, so newly saved recipes stop being published;
hide your public profile, which takes everything you published off public view at once;
stop sharing a public cookbook;
revoke a legacy unlisted recipe share; and
request account deletion.

Retiring one publication while the rest of your page stays public is not a control the current app version exposes. Write to us at contact@heylabs.co with the address of the page and we will retire it. Retirement is permanent for that address.

Stopping a cookbook link affects only the collection. It does not retire the recipe publications it referenced, because those recipes can be linked from a profile or another collection. Deleting a shared cookbook in the app also asks us to revoke its public link, and queues that request if you are offline, so check that the app has confirmed it before assuming the page is gone.

When a cookbook or recipe is removed from public serving, normal edge/search caches may take time to refresh. Account deletion revokes sessions and removes account publications from active serving when the request is admitted; physical erasure follows the process described in the Privacy Policy. Public copies already saved, quoted, cached, or archived by other people or services are outside our direct control.

We may remove or disable any profile, publication, cookbook, or account content without prior notice if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates risk, is required by law, or threatens the service. Where appropriate, we may preserve evidence and notify the account holder.

9. Shared shopping lists

A shared list is a space you share with other people. Everything you put on it, the item, the quantity, the brand, the note, is visible to every member, and our systems record which member added it. Do not put anything private on a shared list, and do not add another person's personal data to one.

The person who creates a list controls its name and who is invited. Members add, edit, and check off items, and can leave whenever they want. Leaving removes your membership, not the items you contributed, because the people still shopping from that list need it to keep making sense.

Invitations are addressed to a handle and can be withdrawn before they are accepted. If you delete your account, a list you own passes to its longest-standing remaining member, and is deleted only if you were the only member left on it.

Do not use a shared list to send people unwanted messages, and do not invite people who have not agreed to shop with you.

10. Referrals and rewards

Recipe Grab may offer a referral programme: you share a code or a link, and a benefit is granted when the person you invited does something that qualifies, as described in the app at the time.

A referral must be a genuine invitation to a real person. Creating extra installs or accounts to claim your own referral does not count.
We decide whether an action qualifies, and we may refuse a reward, or withdraw one that has not yet been used, where we reasonably believe it came from fraud, automation, manipulated attribution, or a breach of these Terms.
Rewards are personal to your account. They are not property, carry no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money.
The number of rewards an account can earn in a twelve-month period is capped. We set that cap and may change it; ask us at contact@heylabs.co if you want to know the current figure.
We may change or end the programme at any time. Rewards already granted stay granted unless they were obtained in breach of these Terms.

Where a reward is a period of paid access, we apply it to your account ourselves. If you have no paid subscription, our systems grant the access directly. If you already subscribe through Apple, extending your renewal date is a manual step on our side and takes as long as it takes us to process it. Either way it is not an App Store product, it does not alter the renewal terms of a subscription you bought, and Apple's refund process does not apply to it, because nothing was paid.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Recipe Grab to:

violate law or another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
publish personal data, private recipes, images, or identifying information without authority;
upload malware or content designed to exploit, prompt-inject, or manipulate our processing systems;
spam, harass, threaten, defraud, or mislead users or creators;
fabricate source attribution, engagement, cookbook saves, friend relationships, referral touches, or reward eligibility;
evade a takedown, unpublish state, account restriction, or code tombstone; or
submit feedback or reports containing unnecessary third-party personal data or knowingly false legal claims.

We may rate-limit, refuse, or suspend activity that appears automated, abusive, unsafe, or disproportionately costly, even if it comes from a legitimately installed app.

12. Availability, changes, and discontinuation

Recipe Grab and its related services are provided by a small independent team. We aim to keep them available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of any public URL, or preservation of every account/network feature.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature, we will try to give reasonable notice or a practical path forward where feasible. Your private library on the device and in your iCloud is designed to remain useful even if a network feature is unavailable.

13. Disclaimers

Recipe Grab and its services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that:

the app or any public page will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or permanently available;
an extracted, paraphrased, imported, or saved recipe is accurate, complete, safe, lawful, or free of third-party rights;
ingredients, quantities, time, allergens, nutrition, or serving estimates are correct; or
a third-party source, sign-in provider, AI provider, search engine, or other external service will remain available or preserve/remove its copies.

Some jurisdictions do not allow particular warranty exclusions, so those exclusions apply only to the maximum extent allowed there.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from Recipe Grab or these Terms, even if advised that such loss was possible.

Our aggregate liability arising from these Terms or your use of Recipe Grab will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Recipe Grab in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $20.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit, such as liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such limits are prohibited.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms; content, profile, recipe, cookbook, feedback, or report you submit or publish; infringement of another person's rights; or manipulation of a referral/reward programme.

16. Termination and account deletion

These Terms apply while you use Recipe Grab. You may stop using the app, sign out, stop publishing, or request account deletion at any time. Deleting the app does not automatically delete server-held account/publication data, and deleting the account does not automatically erase your private iCloud container; use the relevant control for each scope.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk, abuse the service, or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, public-content licence wind-down, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and legal notices, remain effective after termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to proceed elsewhere. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

If you live in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, those protections continue to apply.

18. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. We are responsible for Recipe Grab and its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
If Recipe Grab fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for addressing product-liability, regulatory, consumer-protection, or intellectual-property claims relating to Recipe Grab.
We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging third-party intellectual-property claims about the app.
You represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not on a U.S. restricted-party list.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

19. Copyright complaints and DMCA notices

We respect intellectual-property rights. We host public material when a user creates a legacy /r/... share, an account recipe publication served under your /u/... profile and surfaced on our /d/... dish and /i/... ingredient pages, a public /u/... profile, or a public /c/... cookbook collection. If you believe hosted material infringes a copyright you own or control, you may send a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

An effective notice must include:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised representative.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
Identification of the allegedly infringing material with enough information for us to locate it. Include the complete https://recipegrab.app/r/..., /u/..., /d/..., /i/..., or /c/... URL where applicable.
Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

After receiving a compliant notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access where required and may notify the publishing user.

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same agent. It must include your signature; identification and former location of the material; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief removal was a mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. Federal District Court (or, outside the United States, the federal court serving Sheridan County, Wyoming); and acceptance of service from the original complainant.

We may disable publication features or accounts of repeat infringers. Knowingly materially misrepresenting infringement or mistaken removal may create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

20. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will provide notice in the app or service where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
