Recipe Grab — Terms of Use

Effective date: May 19, 2026 App: Recipe Grab (iOS) Website: https://recipegrab.app Publisher: Recipe Grab is built by Hey Labs — an independent studio that designs and ships polished iPhone apps. Contact: contact@heylabs.co

Please read these Terms carefully before using Recipe Grab. By installing or using the app, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not install or use Recipe Grab.

1. Acceptance and parties

These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("you", "the user") and Global Reach Retailers LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its registered office at 30 N Gould St #40636, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, the publisher of Recipe Grab (the "Company", "we", "us"). The app is distributed through Apple's App Store; Apple's standard licensing terms (the Apple Media Services Terms and the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the "Apple EULA") apply in addition to these Terms. Where Apple's EULA and these Terms conflict, the more restrictive provision governs only the conflicting subject matter; everything else remains in force.

You can read the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

2. The licence we grant you

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Recipe Grab on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the Apple EULA and these Terms.

You may:

  • Use the app to import, organise, edit, scale, plan, and cook your own recipes.
  • Export your recipes from the app.
  • Share recipes you imported or wrote with friends and family, in line with the rights you hold over that content.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation.
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the app or any meaningful portion of it.
  • Use the app or our backend to operate a scraping, mirroring, or content-resale service. The import features exist so a person can cook from a recipe; bulk extraction at the scale of an automated service is not permitted.
  • Use the app in any way that would violate the terms of the platforms whose links you import (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, recipe websites). You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported content respects those platforms' terms and the rights of the content's authors.
  • Probe, attack, overload, or interfere with our backend ("api.recipegrab.app") or attempt to bypass App Attest, rate limits, or other access controls.
  • Use the app to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful where you are using it.

3. Purchases

Recipe Grab offers paid features through auto-renewing in-app subscriptions. Available products, prices, billing periods, free-trial terms (if any), and the features each unlocks are shown on the in-app paywall at the moment of purchase. Subscription terms may change over time; any change will apply only to future billing cycles after reasonable notice to existing customers.

All purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's standard payment terms. We do not see your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple ID at the price shown at the time of purchase, until you cancel through iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds, family sharing, subscription management, and similar billing matters are governed by Apple's policies, not by us. To request a refund, use Apple's refund flow at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. AI-generated content — please read this if you have allergies

Recipe Grab uses on-device and server-side artificial intelligence to transcribe spoken recipes, extract ingredients and steps, estimate cook times, and estimate calories and macros.

AI is imperfect. The app may:

  • Mis-hear an ingredient (e.g. "sugar" instead of "salt").
  • Miss an ingredient that the chef mentioned only briefly or that is shown but not spoken.
  • Get a quantity wrong (e.g. "two" vs "twelve") or attach the wrong unit.
  • Underestimate or overestimate cook time, calories, macronutrients, or serving size.
  • Mistakenly omit an allergen or fail to flag one.
  • Invent steps that were not in the source, particularly if the source is short or low-quality.

You are responsible for verifying every recipe before cooking and before eating. This is especially important if you, or anyone you cook for, has a food allergy, an intolerance, a medical dietary restriction, or is pregnant, immunocompromised, or otherwise medically sensitive. Always cross-check ingredients and quantities against the original source. The app provides a link back to the source for that purpose.

Calorie and macro estimates are rough approximations. Do not use them for medical decisions, for dosing insulin, for managing a clinical condition, or for any purpose where an error could harm you. They are intended as a casual reference, nothing more.

Recipe Grab is a tool for organising recipes — not a nutrition service, not a medical service, not a substitute for professional advice from a doctor, dietitian, or allergist.

5. Third-party content

Recipe Grab helps you save and re-format recipes that you find elsewhere — on social platforms, on recipe websites, in cookbooks, on handwritten cards. Those recipes belong to their authors. Recipe Grab makes no claim to ownership of the content you import.

You agree to use the import features only for content you have the right to use (your own creations, content with an open licence, or content that you are personally allowed to reuse). You are solely responsible for respecting the copyright, terms of service, and other rights of the authors of imported content and of the platforms hosting it.

Recipe Grab does not store imported recipes on our servers; your library lives on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Your content

The recipes you create, edit, or import remain yours. We do not claim a licence over them. We do not read them — we do not have them server-side to read. The brief server-side processing required for an import (see the Privacy Policy) does not transfer any rights to us.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Recipe Grab to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
  • Submit "Report a problem" feedback that contains personal data of third parties, threats, or unlawful content.
  • Interfere with other users' access to Apple's services or our backend.

We may, at our discretion, refuse or limit access to features that are being abused — for example, by aggressively throttling a request pattern that looks automated, even if it originates from a legitimately purchased copy of the app.

8. Availability, changes, and discontinuation

Recipe Grab is an independent product with a small team (currently: one developer). We will do our best to keep the app and the backend running and to fix problems quickly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features over time. Where a change materially reduces what you paid for (e.g. removing a feature that was prominently advertised at the time of purchase), we will try to either preserve the feature for existing buyers or provide a clear path forward.

If Apple removes Recipe Grab from the App Store, or if the app stops being maintained, your existing library remains on your device and in your iCloud. The export feature lets you take it with you at any time.

9. Disclaimers

Recipe Grab and the related services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defect will be corrected.
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any recipe, ingredient, quantity, time, or nutritional estimate produced or modified by the app.
  • We do not warrant any third-party content or services accessed through the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. To the extent such an exclusion is unenforceable, the warranties are limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, Recipe Grab, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In any event, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) US $20.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the app in violation of these Terms, (b) your infringement of any third party's rights through use of the app, or (c) content you submit through "Report a problem" or similar channels.

12. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the app if you materially breach these Terms, if continued use risks harm to other users or to us, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14) will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, United States, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer-protection law cannot be overridden by these Terms, that law continues to apply to you in addition to these Terms.

14. Apple-specific terms (Licensed Application End User License Agreement)

The following acknowledgements are required by Apple. They apply because Recipe Grab is distributed through the App Store.

  • These Terms are concluded between you and the developer of Recipe Grab only, and not with Apple. The developer is solely responsible for Recipe Grab and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Recipe Grab.
  • In the event of any failure of Recipe Grab to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Recipe Grab.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Recipe Grab or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Recipe Grab fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, claims under consumer-protection law, and intellectual-property claims.
  • In the event of any third-party claim that Recipe Grab or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the developer (not Apple) will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
  • You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

The full standard Apple EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When the change is material we will surface a notice in the app on next launch. Continued use of Recipe Grab after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
