- 3 tbsp finely ground filter coffee, dark roast, with or without chicory

Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Put the coffee in the upper chamber of a South Indian filter and level it with the pressing disc.
- 2
Pour in the boiling water, filling the chamber about three quarters full, then put the lid on.
- 3
Leave it undisturbed until the dark decoction has dripped into the lower chamber, 15-20 min.
- 4
Bring the milk to a boil in a small pan, then stir in the sugar until it dissolves.
- 5
Pour about 2 tbsp of decoction into each tumbler (add more for a stronger cup) and top with the hot milk.
- 6
Pour the coffee back and forth between the tumbler and a wide steel cup (dabara) 4-5 times from a height, until it is frothy and just cool enough to sip.
- 7
Serve right away.
