Classic Kir with Dry White Wine and Cassis
3 ingredients
5 steps
What you need
- 20 ml (2/3 oz) creme de cassis
- 100 ml (3 1/2 oz) dry white wine, very cold, a crisp unoaked white such as aligote
- 1 thin strip of lemon zest, optional
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Take the wine straight from the fridge so the drink stays cold without ice.
- 2
Pour the cassis into a wine glass.
- 3
Add the wine slowly and stir once, gently, so it blends without losing its chill.
- 4
If using lemon zest, twist it over the glass to release its aroma, then drop it in.
- 5
Serve right away as an aperitif.
