Restated from the original video
- 1
Wash the lettuce and pat it dry. Cut the tomato into thin rounds.
- 2
Toast the bread lightly, if you like it warm and crisp.
- 3
Spread the mayonnaise over one side of each slice.
- 4
Lay the cheese on 2 slices, then fold the turkey loosely on top so it sits in soft layers.
- 5
Add the tomato and season it with a little salt and black pepper.
- 6
Finish with the lettuce and close with the remaining bread, mayonnaise side down.
- 7
Press gently, cut each sandwich in half on the diagonal and serve right away.
- 8
Deli turkey is sold already cooked through; keep it chilled and use it by the date on the pack.
