Brazilian Açaí Bowl with Banana and Granola
6 ingredients
7 steps

What you need
- 400 g (14 oz) frozen unsweetened açaí pulp, four 100 g packs
- 2 ripe bananas, one sliced and frozen, one fresh
- 2 tbsp guaraná syrup, or honey
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) cold water, plus more if needed
- 60 g (1/2 cup) granola
- 2 tbsp honey, for drizzling
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Hold each açaí pack under hot tap water for a few seconds so the frozen block slides out.
- 2
Break the açaí into chunks and drop them into a blender with the frozen banana slices, the guaraná syrup and the water.
- 3
Pulse, then blend on low, pushing the mixture down with the tamper, until thick and smooth like soft-serve, 1-2 min. Add water a spoonful at a time only if the blades stall.
- 4
Spoon the mixture into two chilled bowls and smooth the top.
- 5
Slice the fresh banana into rounds.
- 6
Scatter the granola over one side of each bowl and lay the banana rounds next to it.
- 7
Drizzle with honey and serve straight away, before it melts.
