4 ingredients
7 steps

What you need
- 20 g Vietnamese ground coffee, dark-roast robusta, medium-coarse grind
- 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, more or less to taste
- 100 ml hot water, just off the boil
- ice, for serving
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Spoon the condensed milk into a short heatproof glass.
- 2
Set the base plate of a phin filter on the glass and put the chamber on top. Add the coffee and shake it level.
- 3
Lay the press disc on the grounds and push down lightly.
- 4
Pour in about 1 tbsp of the water and wait 30 seconds while the grounds swell.
- 5
Fill the chamber with the rest of the water, cover with the lid and let it drip through, 4-5 min. If it drains much faster, press the disc firmer next time.
- 6
Lift off the filter and stir the coffee into the condensed milk until evenly tan.
- 7
Fill a tall glass with ice, pour the coffee over and stir. Serve at once.
