Chocolate Walnut Fudge with Condensed Milk
6 ingredients
7 steps
What you need
- 510 g (3 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 397 g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, 1 can
- 30 g (2 tbsp) butter, plus extra for the tin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g (1 cup) walnuts, roughly chopped
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Butter a 20 cm (8 in) square tin and line it with baking paper, leaving some overhang to lift the fudge out later.
- 2
Put the chocolate, condensed milk, butter and salt in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
- 3
Stir constantly until everything has melted into a thick, smooth mass, 5-7 min. Keep the heat low so the chocolate does not catch.
- 4
Remove the pan from the burner, then add the vanilla and walnuts and mix well.
- 5
Scrape the mixture into the tin and smooth the top with a spatula.
- 6
Leave to set in the fridge until firm, about 2 hours.
- 7
Lift out by the paper and cut into small squares with a hot, dry knife. Keep in an airtight box.
