Restated from the original video
- 1
Combine the sugar and 250 ml water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring, until the sugar dissolves and the liquid just starts to simmer, 3-4 min.
- 2
Remove from the heat and leave the sugar water to cool completely, about 15 min.
- 3
Squeeze the lemons and strain out the seeds to get 350 ml of lemon juice.
- 4
Pour the cold water into a large pitcher. Add the lemon juice and most of the sugar water and stir.
- 5
Taste, then add the remaining sugar water until it is as sweet as you like. Add a splash more lemon juice if it is too sweet.
- 6
Chill for 30 min if time allows. Serve over ice with lemon slices.
