5 ingredients
7 steps
What you need
- 30 ml (1 oz) espresso, freshly brewed

- 20 ml (3/4 oz) coffee liqueur
- 2 tsp simple syrup, equal parts sugar and water
- 3 coffee beans, for garnish
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Put a coupe or martini glass in the freezer to chill.
- 2
Brew the espresso and let it stand for 1-2 min so it is warm rather than scalding.
- 3
Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full with ice.
- 4
Pour in the vodka, coffee liqueur, simple syrup and espresso.
- 5
Close the shaker tightly and shake hard for 20-30 seconds, until the outside is frosty. Hard shaking builds the foam.
- 6
Strain through a fine strainer into the chilled glass.
- 7
Let the foam settle for a few seconds, then float the coffee beans on top and serve.
