Chia Overnight Oats with Yogurt and Honey
9 ingredients
5 steps
What you need
- 90 g (1 cup) old-fashioned rolled oats
- 240 ml (1 cup) whole milk, plus a splash to loosen
- 120 g (1/2 cup) plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp honey, or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g (2/3 cup) fresh berries, for serving
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts, for serving
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Put the oats, milk, yogurt, honey, vanilla and salt in a 500 ml (2 cup) jar, or split them between two smaller jars.
- 2
Add the chia seeds and stir well, scraping the bottom so no dry oats are left there.
- 3
Close the lid and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- 4
Stir before eating. If the oats have set too thick, loosen them with a splash of milk.
- 5
Top with the berries and nuts just before serving so the berries keep their shape and the nuts stay crunchy.
