Restated from the original video
- 1
Heat the oven to 175 °C (350 °F). Line a 23 x 33 cm (9 x 13 in) baking pan with foil and grease it.
- 2
Combine the oats, flour, wheat germ, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, chocolate chips and peanut butter chips in a large bowl.
- 3
Whisk the egg, honey, oil and vanilla together in a separate bowl.
- 4
Pour the wet mix over the dry one and stir until every oat is moist.
- 5
Tip into the pan and press down firmly into an even layer.
- 6
Bake until the edges just start to brown, 15-20 min, for soft bars. For crunchy ones, bake until golden all over, 25-30 min.
- 7
Let it sit in the pan for 5 min, then lift out by the foil and cut into 18 bars.
- 8
Leave the bars to cool completely before handling, about 30 min, or they will crumble.
