Campfire S'mores with Toasted Marshmallow and Milk Chocolate
3 ingredients
6 steps
What you need
- 4 graham crackers, full sheets, snapped in half into squares
- 45 g (1.5 oz) milk chocolate bar, broken into 4 pieces
- 4 large marshmallows
Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Lay out 4 graham squares and set a piece of chocolate on each. Keep the other 4 squares for the tops.
- 2
Spear a marshmallow on the end of a long skewer or roasting stick.
- 3
Hold it a hand's width above glowing campfire embers, not in the flames, and turn it slowly until swollen and golden all over, 1-2 min.
- 4
Lay the hot marshmallow on a chocolate-topped square, press a second graham square on top and slide out the skewer.
- 5
Wait 30 seconds so the heat softens the chocolate, then eat. Repeat with the rest.
- 6
No fire: heat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F), bake the open squares topped with chocolate and marshmallow on a lined tray until the marshmallow swells, 4-6 min, then close them up.
