Method
Restated from the original video
- 1
Bring the water to a boil, then let it stand for a minute so it cools to about 90 °C (195 °F).
- 2
Spoon the condensed milk into the bottom of a heatproof mug.
- 3
Put the coffee into a cloth coffee sock and hang it inside a small jug or a second mug.
- 4
Pour the hot water through the sock so all the grounds are soaked.
- 5
Leave the coffee to steep for 3-4 min, then jiggle the sock a few times and lift it out.
- 6
Pour the coffee into the mug from a little height and stir until the condensed milk is fully mixed in.
- 7
For kopi-o, skip the milk and sweeten the black coffee with sugar instead. For kopi peng, pour it over a glass of ice.
